Last updated: 4 November 2026. This policy describes information handled through the Prashanthi Hospital website and patient app, including appointment requests and online payments when enabled.
Information we collect
Depending on the feature you use, we collect your name, phone number, optional email address, selected doctor or department, preferred appointment date, messages and contact consent. Patient app features may also collect profile information you provide, appointments, follow-ups, uploaded records, text and voice messages, and notification device tokens. Account deletion requests collect the details needed to contact you and verify ownership.
When online payments are available, payment records can include the amount, currency, appointment reference, payment choice, Razorpay order/payment IDs, transaction status and refund status. Server and security logs may contain technical information such as IP addresses, browser details, request times and errors.
How we use information
We use information to respond to enquiries, coordinate appointments and follow-ups, authenticate app users, maintain patient-requested records and conversations, deliver requested service notifications, process and reconcile payments, prevent misuse, handle privacy requests and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Promotions, offers or wishes are separate from payment processing; submitting a payment does not itself subscribe you to marketing.
Online payments and Razorpay
Online appointment payments are currently disabled. You can submit an appointment request and choose to pay at the hospital. No online charge is collected through the appointment form while this option is disabled.
When you choose online payment, Razorpay and its payment partners process payment credentials in their checkout. Your contact information may be used there to complete the transaction and provide payment communications. The hospital appointment form does not collect card numbers, CVVs, banking passwords or UPI PINs. Razorpay handles payment information under its own privacy policy; review the notice shown in checkout. The hospital retains payment references and status needed for reconciliation, support and accounting.
Service providers and access
Authorised hospital staff access the information needed for their work. WordPress and the hospital hosting service store website submissions and operational records. Firebase supports app phone sign-in and push notifications. Hospital-configured private object storage is used for patient files and voice messages. Razorpay and payment partners handle enabled online payments. These providers process relevant information to deliver their respective services; some processing may occur outside your location.
Cookies, maps and external links
Essential cookies and similar mechanisms support administrator sign-in, form security and payment/session functions. Embedded Google Maps may receive technical information, including your IP address, when loaded. WhatsApp, Google and other external links lead to services with their own privacy practices. The hospital does not require a marketing subscription to request an appointment.
Security and retention
Access controls and technical safeguards are used to protect patient information. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Do not send passwords, OTPs or payment credentials in enquiry fields or messages. Information is retained for the purpose for which it was collected and for applicable medical, accounting, legal or dispute-resolution requirements. Retention can differ between app profile information, hospital treatment records and payment records.
Your information and account deletion
Contact the hospital to request access, correction or deletion of your information, or to raise a privacy concern. We verify identity before acting on an account request. You can submit an account deletion request without signing in. App account deletion does not automatically erase hospital treatment or payment records that must be retained; staff explain the applicable scope during review. Do not include medical details in public reviews or comments.
Children and representatives
A parent or authorised guardian should coordinate services and privacy requests for a child. The hospital may verify the representative’s authority before sharing information or acting on a request.
Updates and contact
This notice may be updated when services or information practices change. Contact the hospital with privacy, correction, payment or deletion questions.
